Segno di Giordano : reazione dolorosa a una manovra diagnostica che consiste
nella percussione repentina, con il bordo ulnare della mano, della regione
lombare del paziente. La positività del segno di Giordano (cioè la
sensazione di dolore) è indice di malattie renali (calcolosi, pielite ecc.).

Variante russe : Pasternacki's symptom ( Fiodor Ignatjevich Pasternacki )
The test is performed by placing the palm in the renal region and hitting
the back of the palm with the fist of the other hand. Sign is positive if
pain is elicited. It is a variant of Giordano's sign. Both signs positive
in: nephrolithiasis, pyelonephritis.
